Every adventure is memorable but a boat ride, for children, is also a worthwhile experience. Encourage your child to freeze the adventure in their memories through written accounts. At least with personal writings, a child can explain how he/she thinks and feels about the entire trip. Ask your child to share his/her journal with you, too!
