The adrenaline-fueled teenage angst of twins Harold and Halfrida Brotzman marches onward into the assembly lines and student councils of the "Greater American Catholic School System." The twin siblings are still spilling blood on the battlefields of "Brotzmanskrieg," an interplanetary conflict between nation-states, school systems and political internationals over control of the "Anomalies" within the "Otherworld." Today, the Ryanites of GACSS are on the defensive after the failure of the Great Leaps Westward, their enemies closing in on all fronts.

New superweapons and strategic plans are being drawn. The renewing power of the Anomalies is being tapped into by the best Ryanite scientists and engineers, bankers and industrialists, statesmen and generals. A different kind of combat is also being realized after two unlikely diplomats taught the Ryanites the verboten arts of "Financial Warfare." With it, yesterday's allies can become tomorrow's enemies, yesterday's enemies into tomorrow's allies.

The peace and prosperity of the "Greater American Catholic School System," like the American Way of Life itself, is facing an existential crisis. Facing all possibilities of death in combat or execution for war crimes, Harold and Halfrida must wage a fight-or-flight struggle with their cousins, their friends and the Ryanites to survive World War III and begin their postwar lives together as upstanding adults. Life is too short to be wasted on dystopian Utopias: Either America survives World War III as the GACSS or the GACSS perishes in World War III as America.
