Operation White Feather

After hosting ten campers from the small mountain town of Hamel, Kentucky, for the first successful week of Shea Nature Camp, Jami Shea and Bret Collier are off on an adventure of their own.

Bret and Jami have been invited to join their new best friends Miri and Jami Puckett on a trip back to Hamel where the Puckett family will have a decision to make. Will they return to Sanibel to take the new jobs and make the island their forever home? Or will they stay in Hamel?

Before leaving Sanibel, Cap Browning tells Bret about a secret mission to help the struggling mountain town, beginning with a transformation of Hamel's rundown, weed-filled baseball field. Bret sets Operation White Feather in motion with a call to his friend Joe Cruz, the star right fielder for the Boston Red Sox,

At first, the Hamel townspeople are surprised and skeptical, but as they watch the progress on the new baseball field, they realize something extraordinary is happening. Rumors are flying that Cap Browning is actually a son of Hamel and that he and his wife Marcie might be buying the old Buck Place, Ed wants to renovate his cafe and open a bakery for Lacey Puckett, and "the rich kids from Sanibel" are actually okay. But when The White Feather sends yet another delivery, Hamel is about to be changed forever.
