'One Weird Bird' retells - with humorous illustrations - the African tale of how the ostrich came by his long neck. The folk tale has been embellished to include an explanation for his inability to fly and the size and strength of his legs. It is intended for children 4-8 years of age; the full-page illustrations make it suitable to read aloud to groups.
