What if to bring a Christmas miracle to those you care about most, you had to commit a felony?
That's the quandary Jack La Falla finds himself in. Jack hasn't had an easy life or even a fair one. Yet the day that he became the superintendent of Building 649 in the Bronx, everything changed. He has an honest living, but, more important, he has a purpose.
That purpose is the people living in 649. As residents of low-income housing, they don't have the smoothest time of it. They struggle to make ends meet and to deal with the various blows that life throws at them. Yet Jack is always there to help them any way he can.
This particular year has been tough for a lot of his residents. Determined to give the families a real and true Christmas morning, Jack will stop at nothing to make that dream come true...even if it means stealing the money to do it.
