On the streets of life - between ideologies and reality

'Nothing is more constant than change,' said the ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus. And this is exactly what Jurgen Weber shows us in his new book 'On the Roads of Life'. He begins by describing how mankind and the climate have developed over millions of years. One thing becomes clear: there have always been changes, but climate change is dramatic and is provoked by humans. We must therefore try to minimize it - but also learn to live with it. Weber also explains how ideologies change society and that we need more direct democracy. Especially in such turbulent times and in times of upheaval, we need to involve citizens more, otherwise there is a risk that they will turn away from the system completely.
