Beskrivelse
After serving over fifteen years (1870-1886) with General George Crook, Bourke sat down to write this memoir of his hero. He brings to life the frontier, the plains, and the Southwestas well as Native American heroes Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse, and Geronimo. Combining strength and compassion, Bourke concludes, Crook carved out a space for himself in American history.
