On the Bluffs of Cane Creek

Adaline Kelly was fourteen years old when her family's covered wagon overturned near Poplar Bluff, Missouri, killing everyone but her. Alone in a vast prairie, Adaline soon stumbles upon a Band of Cherokee Indians who are being forcibly removed from their home in North Georgia.
