Olivia's Bus Ride

During the summer of 1963, in America, the struggle for civil rights was at an all-time high. During that same summer, Olivia, an eight-year-old little girl and her mother were struggling to make ends meet.

As a result, Olivia's mother, Ola Mae, decided to send her down south on the bus alone to Spanish Fort, Alabama, to stay with her grandmother and her father. But in 1963, segregation was still real in both a legal and "cultural" sense.

How will her trip go?
