When a shell-shocked woman arrives in town, her kidnappers are hot on her trail
When Olivia Foster arrives in Grand Falls under mysterious circumstances, Joseph Davis doesn't know what to make of it. Edna Baker, former owner of the Grand Falls Diner, manipulates him into becoming Olivia's protector. To keep Olivia out of danger, he agrees. After all, there is no one else available, and the stranger has him intrigued.
Curiosity turns to fury upon discovering Olivia isn't who she says she is, and then her kidnappers turn up in the once quiet town.
The situation evolves far too quickly, along with the pair's growing bond. When Olivia's father turns up, along with bodyguards, Joseph is no longer needed, and their connection is severed.
