OLD BLOCKLEY: The Making of a Physician

Dr. John Levin, who died in 2011, interned and served his residency at Philadelphia General Hospital ("Old Blockley"), then one of the oldest and finest hospital in the United States. Almost four decades ago, he wrote about his experiences there. Although he used psudonyms for many people (including himself; in the book he is Dr. Denton Innis -- "Dent" to his friends), all the stories are basically true. Some are very funny. Some are tragic. All are human. They provide a unique insight into life (medical and otherwise) in the 1960's and 1970's.
