The professionalization of agricultural activities by the law of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa may raise some questions. The reason for this approximation lies in the Uniform Act on General Commercial Law, which no longer concerns traders only, but extends to other professions. Indeed, in this Uniform Act, all professional sectors, including agricultural activities, are concerned. It is in this sense that we can approach the agricultural activity, not from the angle of the trader, but more as a professional structure. In the Uniform Act all professions are included, including agricultural activity. This has given the opportunity to the law of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa to set up a particular status beneficial to both traders and farmers.
