Odin's Story: Book of Urd takes a look at Norse mythology like never before. Imagine Odin visits you at the campfire for a brief but awe-inspiring moment, simply to tell you his version of the stories of the gods. He shares his learning of the Havamal imbedded within his rise as king of the gods. by using similarities in other Pagan/ Heathen legends and folklore, the stories of the gods not only bring fantasy to reality but open up the possibility of an original story containing sources for modern legends and practices. Using the Norse tales as a structure but expanding into Greek, Celtic, Egyptian, Asian, Polynesian and even Aboriginal stories all contain characters with similarities. From Vampiric dwarves to werewolf warriors and zombies, each modern myth seems to have a mention in ancient times. A large sea serpent, sometimes explained as a dragon connected to storms through the rivalry between the thunder god Thor and the Midgard serpent. A canine creature connected to the realm of the dead makes you wonder if it is through our ancient stories we are all connected.
