Berger has worked in a number of settings, including medical-surgical acute care, critical care, long-term care, travel nursing, a number of managerial and administrative positions, and has volunteer experiences as a camp nurse and medical team member in Mexico and Russia. While serving as an officer in the Air Force, she became interested in mass casualty management and disaster response and gained valuable expertise by serving as a medical readiness and field-training instructor.
