ENGLISH DESCRIPTION "I didn't realize I was brave. Now that I think about it, probably no one realizes they are brave until they need to be."

El D?a newspaper has a new director. He's unprofessional and the editorial team doesn't respect him, so he asserts his authority by singling out individuals for punishment. One of those targeted is Bel?n, who decides to take a leave of absence. She is intrigued when Jaime, a forensic scientist who investigates mass graves from the Franco period, shows her a mysterious letter from an old man searching for the remains of his wife, who was shot in 1936. Only once he locates her can die in peace. With her life derailed by her new boss, recovering from a toxic relationship and embroiled in another that seems to be going nowhere, Bel?n sets off on a quest to fulfill the old man's mission. Her investigation takes her to a small town in ?vila, where she must persuade the residents to talk about the past. This is a novel about the ability of the truth to heal and an homage to the power of journalism.
