NOT OF THIS WORLD

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

Peter identifies our identity, points us who we are, and then gives us a purpose to pursue and live for.

The core of this book deals with the concept of Holiness that maybe, some might be missing out in their theology. Holiness goes just beyond a sense of moral uprightness, even though it is a fabric of holiness. Holiness fundamentally in scripture deals with how we are called out, given an identity and to pursue a purpose that is unique, only to God and his plans in the earth.

In this book, we deal with very practical things in how the believer's worldview, and definitely, the preacher of the gospel's must emerge from the scriptures - his study, meditation and practice of God's word.

We trust that this book will also inspire local churches and ministries to stay with that unique identity that has been found in God's word, so as to fulfill his plans and purposes in the earth. We mustn't just know the plan of God, we must also pursue it the way he wants us to pursue it.

This book highlights the identity of the believer, the identity of the church, the identity of the ministry of the gospel, and goes further to let us see what we are doing in this world, and how we must stay with that God-given purpose, and fulfill his plan in the earth. It sheds more light on this by explaining the essential truth about consistently renewing the mind, which is how we (believers) walk in the reality of who we are in Christ; how we conduct ourselves in our sanctification; righteousness and holiness in our various interactions across various spheres of human interaction on a daily basis.

We believe that this will change the perception that many have about the church and the mission of the church in the earth. We look at our involvement in different spheres; commerce, politics, entertainment, sports etc. as believers carry out God's purpose and plans for him in the earth.

So therefore, have a great time as we study together, "Not of This World" and change our world with our unique identity.
