The purpose is to present the massive difference between the two major approaches to Biblical interpretation. These two systems would be ';the normal hermeneutic' that demands the plain, clear, consistent, normal, literal use of language, as opposed to the ';allegorical base' that would allow the insertion into, or spiritualization, as well as the addition of human ideas into the text.
