The emergence of non-state educational institutions in Russia was made possible by the adoption of the Law on Education in 1992. Today, the non-state sector of secondary vocational education (SPE) is an integral part of the domestic educational system, an active participant in the educational services market and the same object of modernization as all education in general. The book is devoted to social preconditions of the emergence of non-state VET sector, legal and organizational bases of its functioning, as well as its current state, peculiarities and tendencies of its development. On the basis of extensive empirical material analyzes the most pressing social problems in the development of non-state VET in the country and the region - the Republic of Bashkortostan. The book also examines integration processes in the system of secondary vocational education and identifies prospects for the development of non-state specialized secondary education institutions.
