Beskrivelse
As children move from toddlerhood into childhood, they say “no” to their parents as a way of asserting their independence and testing boundaries. No, No, NO! is a sweet and humorous portrayal of this normal stage of childhood development.
In the story, Jeanne refuses to comply with her mother’s requests. She replies “No!” when her mother asks her to clean up after herself, turn off the television, and come to dinner. However, when Jeanne spends the night at her friend Sophie’s house, she misses her mum and decides to curb her defiant behaviour.
A ""Note to Parents"" by Elizabeth McCallum, PhD, offers more information about childhood defiance and strategies for parents to cope with this behaviour.
