Nigerian Culture

The Federal Republic of Nigeria, a country of southeast West Africa, at the apex of the Gulf of Guinea in Africa on the west coast. Its neighbors include Benin on the west, Niger on the north, Chad on the northeast by Lake Chad, Cameroon on the east and southeast, and the Gulf of Guinea on the Atlantic Ocean on the south. Nigeria is a major energy resource country in Africa and the largest oil producer and exporter in Africa. By the end of 2014, the oil reserves ranked second in Africa and tenth in the world. The natural gas reserves rank first in Africa and eighth in the world. Thirty-four of the 76 minerals have been found to be of commercial value.
