This paper is a compilation of different formal studies structured to provide new perspectives on the development of tourism. The first title you will find is: Host Community in the Management of Religious Tourism. The Case of the Basilica of Santa María de Guadalupe, Mexico; where the role of the host community in the reception process and during the stay of tourists or visitors who arrive for religious reasons is discussed. The following analysis is: Employability and equity of women in the tourism industry; which aimed to determine the current working conditions of women within the hospitality and travel industry. Public policies aimed at elderly tourism in Mexico City is the third study. It highlights the need to include such interesting segments as the elderly in travel proposals. Finally, Propuesta de indicadores para evaluar programas de turismo social en la Ciudad de México, is the last installment, which provides a series of indicators to evaluate the performance of institutional programs aimed at social tourism.
