Told in rhyming verse, this picture book tells the story of three children on vacation in Mammoth Lakes, California amid their uncle's admonitions regarding Woolly Mammoths. Beautifully illustrated with a brief history and current highlights of the Eastern Sierra area and Woolly Mammoths, the children explore by biking and hiking through the mountainous environment. The message throughout is one of protecting and respecting our Earth. A bit of fact, a bit of fiction, and lots of fun. Intended for children ages 4 - 10.
