Networked Systems in Industry 4.0

The networking of devices, machines and systems plays a key role in Industry 4.0. This textbook conveys the basic knowledge required for the successful use of intelligent networked production systems. It is aimed at students from the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering as well as process and environmental engineering, and is also suitable for practitioners who are involved in the automation of production.The book is divided into three parts.
