Blake is now doing the job he's always dreamed of, and doing it well. He and Lucy, the love of his life, will be getting married in weeks, until a blazing row throws everything into the air, like so many juggler's balls.
He is seconded to CID when it's discovered that an acquaintance of his is a suspect in an ongoing police operation but has no way of knowing that the operation could destroy his future. He could lose everything: His job. His chances of happiness with Lucy. Even his life.
