I think it really teaches the lay person how massage affects you on so many different levels - how it's not just an hour of "rub a dub dub" . I found the chapter on cortisol really interesting and informative. I think he's done an excellent job in keeping it simple and easy to understand. This book is a great resource and full of useful information and techniques for individual, massage therapists and bodywork professionals.
