Neco's Rescue

After a tragic event, Neco Bardiche shut himself off from the world. Ignoring his family and friends' pleas to see them, he falls deep into the bottle to blank out his grief and guilt.

Driving through a horrific storm, he spots something in the gully. Pulling over, he realizes it's a young woman. She is badly injured and unconscious. She needs a hospital, unfortunately the storm has closed the roads. Neco doesn't want to take her home, but he can't leave her there to die.

Neco changes her wet clothes, and for days feeds her aspirin, tea and soup until she finally recovers enough and gains her wits. Some of them anyway. The woman has no memory of who she is, or how she ended up in the ditch, or who had beaten her so badly with their fists.

She doesn't know her name, but her subconscious senses there is a menace that may come after her.

By the time the storm clears, Neco realizes he doesn't want to let her go. He's fallen for her.

They give her the name Casie, and Neco presses for her to stay with him, give their relationship a chance, but she fears she might be a criminal as she has flashbacks of a possible murder.

Also, she may even be married or have a significant other and she fears being disloyal if she stays with Neco. Neco doesn't care. He wants her and figures they'll deal with repercussions down the road if they happen.

While they are working to find out who Casie really is, the danger they'd feared was lurking out there finds her and abducts her.

Terror biting at his heart that Casie is being horrendously abused and tortured, Neco and his brothers do everything they can to find her before she is silenced forever. Will they get to her in time?
