Beskrivelse
"Ndidi the Neglected Child" is book one of a series of folktales that seek to propagate a solid moral foundation for children. It is a story of a child who was neglected and hated by her stepmother. Her stepmother was later punished for her wickedness and hatred for Ndidi. Ndidi's stepmother treats her differently from the way she treats her own daughter. She starves Ndidi and makes her take their family goat alone to a distant place for grazing, while she and her daughter, Nkem stay at home having fun. Ndidi's stepmother is punished for her wickedness, while Ndidi marries a handsome prince and they live happily ever after. The story emphasizes on treating everyone the same way we want to be treated, and that hatred and wickedness have negative consequences.
