Short stories in multiple genres.

First up, a tale set in the late 1800s in Bellingwood. Young Andrew Donovan and his family encounter a family who has escaped from slavery. They hope to make their way to Canada, and are running for their lives. You'll meet some of the same people you know in the Bellingwood stories and you'll fall in love with them all over again.

The second story is a very different look at a fictional Bellingwood. Rather than a rural Iowa community, Bellingwood is the home of Queen Polly and King Henry, rulers of the Central Lands. Andrew, the main character of the story, helps care for veterans of a previous war. When Mr. Leon gives him a shimmery blue egg and insists a dragon ready to hatch, Andrew refuses to believe the old man. Big changes are about to come to the Central Lands. Are they ready for it all?

In CinderCilla, the young woman is a drudge on a freighter. Come to find out, she is much more than that. A mark on her head makes her a target, but when a stranger comes to her rescue, everything changes. The fairy tale isn't quite what we know, but Cilla's life is about to change. Whether it's for better or worse is up to her.
