This title My Trials, My Tribulations, My Triumphant Ascending to Heaven is to encourage fellow Believers that we should not lose heart and let our love for God grow cold. We do and will go through trials and tribulations but let us focus on God and not on what is going on in the world and around us. So that we can have our triumphant ascending to heaven when God calls us home. Our triumphant ascending to heaven could be after we are martyred for our faith in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The triumphing does not imply dying in peace while asleep. What we strive for is to stay in faith until our souls finally reach heaven victoriously so that we can hear our Savior say "well done my good and faithful servant...."
One cannot be a true Christian and not expect trials and tribulations in this world. Today one gets mocked when following LORD Jesus Christ. We can find shortcuts in doing many things but when it comes to "running the race of Christianity" there are no shortcuts.
Our LORD Jesus Christ said we will suffer trials and tribulations in this world. He also promised to be with us until the end of this life. Therefore trials for us as Christians are unavoidable. A Christian walk is a very lonely walk today yet worth it for the sake of our souls.
As I write these I was told about one of our neighbors who passed away. I spoke to her about two weeks ago, she was doing well, she could walk at least 2km a day. Her brother told me she was bewitched. She walked on a "trap" and her feet swelled up and killed her. Her mother died last year with a similar trap of witchcraft whereby the victim walked on muti poured at their gate. The feet swell up then the victim dies in agony.
It's so sad that we have "after tears" whereby some of the mourners drink alcohol and dance after the burial of their loved ones. We don't even think of the soul of the deceased. Did he/she make it to heaven? Will we make it to heaven?
These are times when we must encourage one another more with the Word of God. Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another, in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord".
Poems in this book includes, Awaiting My Trial, Seekers of Wisdom, Joy Beyond Human Words, etc.
