My Special Story

This is the book for children and parents who want to know more about what it means to grow up with special needs or be around someone with special needs. In an activity-book format, readers will experience a day in the life of Alex, a five-year-old boy who loves playing and listening music and also has epilepsy and is developmentally challenged. Readers will join in for meal time, physical therapy, and a park expedition with his friend Milana and mother, Maria. Through these everyday activities, readers will come to learn how to be a good friend to a child with special needs. The book also includes a special letter from Alex's real-life mom that will encourage all parents on the joyful and exhausting journey that is parenthood.
