This sequel to "Poor Cow" presents the same characters 30 years on. 'You are old', Joy tells her mother Gladys for the 100th time, though Glad is unlikely to take any notice. She may be 80, but she wants to find a man with a bit of life in him. Joy has given up her rewarding job to wrestle.
