Karma was excited and ready for her first day of fifth grade, but had no idea her breakfast would stop her from going. Having a first-time food for breakfast stirs up some trouble for Karma and forces her mother to act quickly.
Food allergies have become common in children in the United States, with even higher rates discovered in communities of color.
