My mom's name is Rosie, thou she is not my birth mother, she is my mother because she raised me. She taught me how to spell my name, to count to 10, and how to say my ABC's, in the song that is handed down from one generation to another in every household. You know the song, it's ingrained in your memory forever. The only time that you forgot it as a child, may have been when you were called on by your teacher to stand up in front of your class and had to recite the alphabets, which may have been your first case of stage fright, LOL.Little did you know the majority of your classmates had the same inability to recite that little song.This is the beginning of learning and retaining, as a child you were never told that one day you would forget how to tie your shoes, how to spell your name or remember to brush your teeth.I am writing this book in hopes to help someone have a better understanding of what to expect when your loved one starts to show the signs of dementia, which can turn into Alzheimer's.
