Monique Miller, an intelligent, street-smart detective, would do anything to protect the neighborhood she grew up in and the people she loves, including putting her own life in danger. After her best friends give her grief about her love-life, she meets a man, who falls for Monique the minute he lays eyes on her. She falls in-love with him and just when she thinks it's safe to let her guard down, a woman from his past shows up and compromises their relationship. While Miller tries to keep her mind off her personal life, a traumatic accident makes Monique realize her life and family are more important than her career. But before she can move on, Miller is met with some hard truths about her life she never thought she would have to face. Can Monique handle the truth?
