My History Inspires!

This year's theme "My History Inspires" for SAAC focused on personal family history and how and why our young people need to be the keepers of their family histories. They interviewed their elders, learned about their lives and used this information to create the wonderful poems that are contained in this book. Some of the poems are joyous affirmations while others are sad lamentations. We let them make their own decisions about what aspects of family life they wanted to write about.
