It must be noted that the all tanka in this book reveal true feelings of the poet composed in the colloquial diction. We do not find in these tanka any type of mannerism, artificialities of emotion and phrases. Some of these tanka with fervent feelings, written with profound imaginative power, are intense lyrics of immediate personal response.
