Dimitri Kosloff, an emigre from Budapest, Hungary, and now a famous Hollywood film director is discovered brutally murdered in his penthouse hotel apartment. The evidence points to a young sailor, who was last seen with the victim. However, LAPD's Detective Joe Kellermann is not totally convinced---did they arrest the wrong man? Stripping away the City of Angels' glittering facade, the detective is drawn into a dark web of lies, lust, greed, extortion---and murder.
