The former band director has been demoted after taking an unsanctioned sabbatical and he's not going quietly.Sabotage is the least of Jill's worries after a vampire student is immolated on the 50 yard line. Jill doesn't believe in accidents. Her handsome, Sheriff's Detective husband, Jack is on the case which doubles as another death in the band ranks occurs. Soon after that, a seemingly disparate murder has implications for the Blessed Lady murders.Jill's also having to deal with the possibility of IM-mortality as she is informed by none other than 19th century composer and her new colleague, Johannes Brahms that she was bitten as a college student by a vampire sired by Brahms. A series of incidents points to Jill having a stalker. Or is it TWO? Somebody is trying to put a Coda on Jill's existence Jill and Jack juggle work, family, and the question of immortality as they race to find the killer or killers who seem bent on depleting Jill of her trombone section. They are joined by Jack's partner and old Army buddy Remy and Brahms himself who are along for the craziest marching season ever.
