Murder at Matins

A commune nestled in the Ontario Highlands. An idyllic spot where men and women live together in chastity, poverty and obedience. Members call the place a museum without regular visitors. Like flies on a screen door, many want in and many want out.

A visiting man of the cloth drowns in the river that flows past the compound. The commune leaders invite Bevyn Jones to investigate. He teams up with Brother Kirk and Detective Watson again to solve the mysterious death. The investigation faces obstacles like conspiracy theories and flat out lies and subterfuge.

Bevyn delves into the drowned priest's past, uncovering less than saintly deeds and misdeeds. Evidence is hard-earned and hearsay plentiful. Bevyn faces the challenge of discovering the truth on a commune dedicated to denial.
