Movie Star Portraits: Twelve Stars of the Cinema

Starting with a large calendar (13 1/2 inches wide by 19 inches long) called Architecture, containing images of hand-colored engraved plates of eighteenth century architectural details, circa 1750, printed on heavy linen paper, I combed through numerous books of twentieth century history to find images of movie stars that I could work with. After that it was a matter of assembling them in collage fashion, with cut and tear, layering and pasting. Then I assembled a mini biography on each movie star.
