Mouse Tails of Dewey Alowishus

This is the story of Dewey Alowishus, a little farm mouse with a wild imagination and a yearning to go out into the world beyond his farm to seek adventures and thrills. He wakes up one morning and finds the perfect opportunity as the couple who owns the farm the McAffees are loading up their truck to leave the farm on a trip. They are taking Mrs. McAffee's mother who is visiting them with them. As they are loading up, Dewey, who has had his little backpack packed and hidden for some time awaiting this kind of chance, hurries to retrieve it and with no thought of mom, home, or consequences scurries up the truck's tires into the front seat under Grandma's legs unbeknownst to her! He travels the distance ending up at Kemah Bay, Galveston, TX. As everyone unloads for a day of adventure to take in the bay, boardwalk with all of its shops and amusement attractions, and eateries, he carefully exits with them tailing them in their every step. Dewey spends the day experiencing that which he could never have dreamed with his little mouse heart so full that he thinks he will burst with excitement! At the end of the day, he shimmies back up the truck's tires and is spotted by Grandma. He runs for safety under her seat. And, Grandma rides with her legs on the dashboard home!!
