Cierra Zander, a strong willed, young and brilliant attorney, finds that her past prevents her from advancing her career and is forced to leave her home. Cierra soon finds a position at a large California law firm and quickly moves upward. Assigned to a special project, Cierra questions her ascent into the upper echelon of the law firm, but accepts the new assignment gracefully. The case takes her miles away and includes a stay at a private ski resort. It is there that she meets Evan Jamison; a passionate and fun love affair ensues. At the same time, the case in which Cierra is involved becomes intriguing and dangerous as she realizes that the lead counsel is not only incompetent but is purposefully trying to sabotage the case. And now a major player in all of this is found to be a lifelong friend of Evan Jamison - can she confide in her new love?
