He groomed the young Chandragupta Maurya, to make him a resplendent personality, efficient ruler, and able warrior. It was the framework of the policies set by Chanakya that India flourished to become a great nation. Chanakya has written his magnum opus, Arthashastra, a fine treatise on politics. The policies set by him are called Chanakya Neeti, which are referred to even today to resolve and understand the prevailing issues.
