Honey Cantrell woke up one day to find her life taken from her. An extraterrestrial orb accidently kills her, brings her back and binds her to a sentient ship meant to aid humankind. Just when she thinks nothing else could possibly get weirder she finds that the reason behind the orbs unsanctioned hijacking was due to its previous host's tampering. Tampering that waited almost 200 years to initiate an experiment for a long dead scientist. Now she was going to be randomly fused with the DNA of who knows how many races of beings beyond the Milky Way. On top of that, her partner was romantically interested in her and his sire initiates a public courting in order to spur his son into realizing his own feelings for her. This in turn cartwheels into more drama with jealousy from fellow classmates and a revenge plot thrown in.
