What happens when your faith comes into conflict with your government? An injured American serviceman has just stumbled into Toni Estoval's life. What will she do? The choice isn't as simple as you might think. The year is 1972 and fifty-eight year-old Toni lives in Cuba. She served the rebel cause during the Cuban Revolution and cheered when Fidel Castro entered Havana in triumph, but when she saw that the communists were going to take power she quietly retired from the movement. She found a quiet little hamlet where she could study, meditate and pray, and she can see no reason to doubt that she will be able to spend the rest of her days in prayerful serenity. But sometimes life will bring a tempest into the most tranquil sea. Toni is about to be caught up in a storm which will require her to choose between her faith and her government. If she chooses faith, she will probably die.
