Morning Musings

Morning Musings is a collection of reflections from a regular guy who longs to love God ever more deeply. Garnered in predawn hours with my fountain, a freshly ground and brewed Cafe Americano, and more than a smattering of Gods word and prayer guiding my meandering in grace. To borrow from Forrest Gumps Momma who always said, "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." is perhaps the best way to describe this compilation of meditations. It's inception, a cancer diagnosis, which has apparently for now, been stymied in its attempt to put me to rest, instead has served me quite well. Prayers offered years ago, to be drawn closer to God, were answered with cancer, a very rare cancer, with a not so promising prognosis. I wasn't expecting this venue to be Gods answer to those prayers, but by His grace, I'm glad it was. As of this writing, twenty two months after my chemo and surgery, my scans are clean. My hope is that you will be blessed here, and encouraged to pursue a deeper joy in Christ. It is from a firm conviction that I can never exhaust His ability to satisfy, that fuels said pursuit.
