Morgan Make$ Money is an entertaining, fast-paced story and creative primer for building successful careers in sales and happiness in life. The first of 97 Selling Principles appears on page 1 -- Be prepared for customer resistance -- and the remaining 96 appear one at a time as the story unfolds. The action taking place in the story when a Selling Principle is inserted is meant to illuminate and reinforce, ironically at times, the need for the action prescribed by the principle. The protagonist in this story, Morgan Armstrong, is hardly a person one would classify as leading an honest, principle-driven life. Without a doubt or an apology, Morgan lives to make money -- Big Money -- and if he has to be a little unscrupulous to do it -- it's okay with him. What got him into real trouble wasn't his unscrupulous business practices. It was his long-time desire to belong to an exclusive country club and his overzealous actions to become a member. His ill-conceived blackmail plot involving the Chairman of the country club's Membership Committee backfires, resulting in his being found guilty of a murder he didn't commit. That, of course, got him a one way ticket to a state prison (his story) leaving his children (their story) and third wife behind (her story) to fend for themselves. Once Morgan meets his cellmate, "Silent" Bob, the three stories evolve independently and over time braid together to form a larger, amusing and poignant tale that may inspire -- along with the 97 Selling Principles -- successful careers in sales (and we're all selling something) and happiness in life.
