More Adventures of Tamarita Rachel

Tamarita Rachel and Little Sister Emily enjoy new adventures in this second volume of stories about the lives of children in Ecuador. The girls learn about the Incas, visit a volcanic lake, celebrate the Day of the Dead, and throw a party for the children in the village who are sponsored so that they can go to school. The stories are ideal for 4 to 8 year olds and are fun to read aloud together at home, at school, at the library or at Sunday School. Children will learn what life is like in a different culture and how they can help the poor. Andrea Gardiner is a missionary doctor in Ecuador. Many of the stories in the book are based on real-life events. The first volume, The Adventures of Tamarita Rachel was a finalist in the 2014 CLIPP Awards.
