Cognitive behavioral-based strategies and approaches and CHARACTER COUNTS (R) The Six Pillars of Character(R) (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship) build the foundation for this program. Youth learn to internalize these values while also gaining an understanding of ethical decision-making models and strategies. They learn how to apply these to their lives.
