Edmond Graham is a young poet, naive and inexperienced, who's burgeoning talent has earned him an invitation to join the aristocratic circles of London. Overwhelmed by the decadence and squalor of city life Edmond soon finds a much needed friend and mentor in charismatic and mysterious Lord Nathaniel Kildare. But just as their relationship is beginning to blossom they are both swept up in a series of murders which Edmond becomes increasingly convinced were perpetrated by a vampire. When Edmond catches the monster's eye is seems certain that he will be the next victim and not even Nathaniel will be able to protect him. Can Edmond discover the truth before he becomes the killer's next meal?
